Prairie View A&M names Wilson head women's basketball coach

Wilson spent the last four seasons as an assistant with the school, but was promoted when former head coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke took the same position at UNC-Wilmington.

"It's an incredible opportunity that I've been given by [athletic director] Mr. [Fred] Washington and our President Dr. Wright and I'm honored they felt I was the right person to continue the success of this program. The Lady Panthers have been to the NCAA Tournament twice and the Women's NIT twice in the past four seasons.

In her time as a player with Manhattan College, Wilson averaged 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in 107 games.

Brandon Roy Favorite to Win 2007 NBA Rookie of the Year

Obviously he will need to hit the weights big time during the off-season in order to keep from breaking down in the future.
